Apple has once again earned the title of the world’s most valuable brand, according to the annual Brand Finance Global 500 ranking. It surpassed Microsoft and Google, reclaiming the top spot after conceding it to Amazon last year.

In 2023, the value of the Apple brand increased by 74%, reaching $517 billion. Microsoft took second place with a value of $340.4 billion, growing by almost 78%. Google secured third place with a brand value of $333 billion. Amazon, now in fourth place, is valued at $308.9 billion.

According to David Haigh, Chairman of Brand Finance, Apple has increased the value of its brand by focusing on strategic diversification and enhancing premium offerings, such as the development of wearable devices and services like Apple TV subscriptions. Approximately half of those surveyed acknowledged Apple as a justifiably expensive brand.

Samsung claimed fifth place in the ranking, followed by Walmart in sixth. Also making it to the top 10 were TikTok, Facebook, Deutsche Telekom, and ICBC. The Brand Finance study also noted significant growth among brands investing in artificial intelligence.

As a result, Nvidia became the fastest-growing brand in the world, with its value increasing by 163% to $44.5 billion. Tesla dropped out of the top 10, falling to 18th place, with its value decreasing by 12% to $58.3 billion.

Russian brands did not make it into the top 500 this time, despite Gazprom, Sber, and Lukoil occupying the 420th, 163rd, and 457th positions respectively the previous year. This year, they significantly lost their positions compared to 2022.
